Another year, another trip, another selection of photos, films, insults and calamites and of course another bunch of pages for our website. You’d think by now that we would be bored of this weekend away lark, but I have to say, Hamburg 2010 was superb and threw up a few surprises.

It was the first trip for James who was lucky enough to enjoy one of the liveliest beer fests that we had ever had the pleasure to visit. We were also honoured to be invited to a very special evening with a number or German Round Tables, we enjoyed an afternoon of Bundesliga football, actually went on an actual U-boat actually, a few of us enjoyed a personal tour of HSV and this was all topped off with lashings of Germany’s finest beer.

We found that some of our members had hidden talents that we had never seen before including Easty’s ability as an XXXL race driver to beat us all on the go-karts, Graham’s ability to avoid the roller coaster and Andy’s diving skills also came in handy when I lost my token in the pool. But by far the best was Nigel’s ability to drag 10 grown men out of bed at 7am on a Sunday morning after a big night on the sherbet, and then guide them in the pouring rain through a market that boasted approximately 100 stalls all selling the same thing…… And somehow we were all still laughing! To be fair, my Mrs. Can’t get to go round Sainsbury’s for ten minutes.

I can’t close without thanking Daniel, Marcus and of course Kai for making us more than welcome and frankly going way beyond the call of duty. My personal thanks to Kai for what was the tour of a lifetime around the HSV stadium.

So, once again, as a way of saying thank you to all for the beer drinking, fun, camaraderie, car bumping, beer drinking, snacketting, U-boating, footballing, marketing and beer drinking, here is this years website.
